Howard Lindzon has more than twenty years experience in the financial community acting in both an entrepreneurial and investing capacity. With a unique vision for starting, managing, and successfully advising innovative companies, Lindzon is the public-face of the Social Leverage entities. Howard is Co-Founder and Chairman of StockTwits, which was recently named “one of the top 10 most innovative companies in web” by FastCompany and one of the “50 best websites” by Time magazine (where he invented the “cashtag”). Howard created more than 400 original videos on Wallstrip, which was acquired by $CBS in 2007.
Howard recently stepped down from his operational role as CEO on December 31, 2013, to focus on the next phase of Social Leverage. As acting Chairman, Howard's connection to StockTwits along with his hedge fund experience, give Social Leverage access to a community of professionals who can evaluate fintech opportunities.
As an angel Howard has had many successful investments including: Rent.com (purchased by eBay in 2005 for $415 million), Golfnow.com (purchased by Comcast in June 2008), Buddy Media (acquired by SalesForce in2012 for $745 million) and Lifelock (2012 IPO, billion+ market cap). He has been an early Twitter shareholder, having invested in Summize (acquired in 2008) and TweetDeck (acquired in 2011). He’s also an early indirect investor in Uber through a FoF investment.
Howard received an MBA at Arizona State University and an MIM from The American Graduate School of International Management.
Audrey Jacobs is VP Americas of OurCrowd, the leading global equity crowdfunding platform.
